Looks very nice for the asking price, I would think it will sell .
Love the color scheme... of course … and have to say it is nice to see another Series 62 Coupe in really nice condition. Given the fact they saw less production than their "step-up" counterpart, the Coupe de Ville (about 2/3's as many produced for 1962 model year), and the lower survivor rate % wise of the deVilles and Fleetwoods, it just adds to the uniqueness of this car. I did some stats from NC registered Series 62's vs deVilles at some point and if memory serves, it was about 1/2 the expected survivor rate based on production #'s.
Does it almost seem too good for the price?
Very Great looking 62 CDV -- Just Love it !
Love the size of the fins on this year
When ever i see a 62 which is my favorite body style i always think about my 62 convert with AC (optional then and not many in the NY area ) that extended my Love of early 60's Cadillacs
I often drove a 55 Cadillac convertible around my home town but the addition of AC changed the entire experience for me bringing my affection for the car to a new level ( Cadillac Crazy )
I did choose to go with the 64 convert for the advancements in performance it offered over all the prior year Cadillacs of that time slot
I did have my choice of a 62 63 and 64 convertibles from my dads collection when he retired ( a total of 7 registered turn key early 60's Cadillacs )
i did choose the 64 he bought new ( i was standing next to him 21 years old ) that he had a need to keep in outstanding condition thru out its life just because he loved the car
I just realized my dad had his first 52 CDV when i was just 7 years old so i have been around Cadillacs for a long time and still on going
"Very Great looking 62 CDV". Not a Coupe de Ville. This is a 1962 Series 62 Coupe (body style 6257, body style code G).
Just to add my point is the very fact that Series 62 Coupes, especially in this condition, are much more rare that Coupe de Villes.
The 62s hub cap inserts are not painted the color of the car ( on this car ) as i remember them being in 62 on Caillacs of that year
That may have been on the higher end models in 62
My black 62 convert had black inserts on it hubcaps
The color matched the body color of the car then
6 way electric seat and electric windows. Look nice. It looks to have a off white top to match the hub caps. And yes they should match the body or top.
