I spent some time with Jason Last week talking about the different transmissionsin the old Caddy. He showed me a filter just like I had bought. He gave me and old gasket that matched my new one. I crawl under the old beast and the pan is completely different and the filter is a getaway filter. The pan clearly has hydromatic stamped on it. It is the tranny that came in it. This just FYI but the cheapest Jetaway filter I can find IS about $125 compared to the $25 for what I thought was the hydro filter. I will try to download the drawing and picture of the Filter ASAP.

thanks

Fatsco has a pretty decent pan ID page at https://www.fatsco.net/pan-gasket-id.html.  Not sure why they did not run the HM up to the 63-64 model years.

Speaking of Fatsco they list the 1960-1964 Hydramatic Filter (H11-17) for $62.

If Fatsco doesn't have it, I see that Fusick lists the filter for $86 at this link:

Thanks again Friend

1963 Eldorado convertible boot

Posted by Les Eastling on February 27, 2020 at 10:33am 1 Comment

I need a used convertible boot for a 63 Cadillac convertible - condition or color is not an issue since it will be used as a pattern for making a new one. One from either a 62 series convertible or an Eldorado would work. I know I am searching for hen's teeth here... but you never know unless you ask!
