Hi Joe,

My interior seems to be the same color as yours.  My carpet was made by Auto Custom Carpets and I believe I purchased it from USA parts?  It's been about 10 years so my memory is fuzzy since I have 2 vintage Cadillac and 2 vintage Chevies.  I do remember the brand though.

Seems like Kanter sells them as well and has a good color representation in their printed catalog so you can actually see what you are buying.

Happy Motoring!

Hello Michael thank you for responding.

I have gone on ACC's website and Kanter as well as a bunch of other ones and have not been able to find medium Sandalwood in cut pile on any of them. I called SMS a couple of days ago and ask them for samples of their carpets and today in the mail I got a letter from them with samples of fabric, vinyl & leather but not carpet LOL

Joe D

Give ebay a try unless you have

Enjoy

I checked them first, then Rock Auto.

Jason suggested SMS & to send them a sample of mine from under the back seat, I'm definitely leaning that way.

Just thought it would be nice to check out other options.

SMS has cut pile but there is an 800 series and a 1000 series.  The 1000 series is a thicker pile, and seems to be the closest match to the black cut pile in my 64 CDV

Thank you for that Blake, but my problem is matching my original color in Cut pile not Loop.

I've been able to find medium Sandalwood in Loop from a couple of different sources, but I don't want loop I want cut pile which is what's original to my car

Well I made a decision, ACC carpet

Well hopefully you will get a good night's sleep now LOL

LOL yes hopefully, then again theirs still the headliner :)

Always a good choice, glad you found what you wanted!

Happy Cadillacin'

64 Recirc/Fresh Air Door Actuator replaced; FROM THE INSIDE.

Posted by Norman Silverman on February 4, 2019 at 11:21pm 8 Comments

I am happy to report that I have successfully replaced the Fresh Air/Recirc door actuator that is located on the blower box-and have done so without having to remove the blower box. I did it by taking out the glove box and attacking it from the back.  It took several days, LOTS of patience and some band-aids, but it is done. THE most difficult part -BY FAR- is to remove and then replace the screw that sits on the actuator arm, connecting it to the fresh…

Where do the flashers go in my 64 Deville Convert.  I'm thinking that's why both turn signals stopped working.

Source for Motor mounts and Trans mounts 1964 SDV

Posted by Norman Silverman on January 9, 2019 at 4:23pm 4 Comments

Hi.

Where is the best place to purchase good quality motor mounts/trans mounts for my 1964 SDV? I see that Rock Auto has them for $8 and change, and others for $24 and change. Big difference. Is there a better place to buy them from?

Thanks

Norm
