I know these flower cars don't come around very often, so I thought it was worth the post. I came across this one on craigslist in New Jersey.

Neat car but is there a market for this car at that price point? If you could get it at a reasonable price it could be made into a nice wagon with the right person.

Ya baby. Strip the back and put a camper on it.....Luxury RV

OK now my creative juices are starting to flow. Truck? Camper? Wagon? Limousine? A lot of rust in the rear, what would the bottom look like? Still seems like a pretty steep asking price.

Turn it into a beverly hillbillies truck. Granny sitting on the top. .....Or use it as a tow truck....

That car will sell fairly easy. There is a huge following for pre 65 hearses, and flower cars are coveted.  To modify a car in that condition, would be like turning a 63 split window vette into a ice cream truck.

Ouch Russ! Don't be so hard on us LOL but your right people all have different tastes and what may be liked by one may be loathed by another. Not everyone likes my tastes in cars but I've had all the sixties muscle cars and I'm over that. Maybe the new owner will join us and post his or her plans for it. That would be enjoyable to see.

Ice cream truck... now you're using your noggen.  But all kidding aside.... I would really like to have a matching pair.....hearse and flower car.

Always like seeing the professional cars, and the flower cars are always cool. Love the rear side door access.  Based on very rough condition I would say they are asking at least 3 times market value. To do a complete full restoration you will easily sink $20 to 40K in the car. Go concours and spend more.  While we are on the flower car topic I like this blog I saw on Hemmings where Airstream tried to combine hearses and flower cars at one point!

* Apparently, Airstream at one point in the 1980s tried to market its RV as a funeral coach, designed to transport the deceased and family and flowers all at once from the funeral home to the cemetery. Because nothing puts the fun in funeral more than sittin’ on top of a casket in a motorhome. (via) - See more at: http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/category/service-vehicles/hearse...

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

'63 Eldorado trumpet horn + 2 standard horns restoration

Posted by Les Eastling on November 15, 2023 at 10:34am 1 Comment

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.

There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
