It was Tubbs' Caddy from Miami Vice that first inspired me to get mine. I ended up with a '63 which is close enough. Mine was the original black on black when I got it but there was never any doubt that it was going to end up Torino Turquoise Metallic.

Catch Me If You Can has 1964 Fleetwood in it, says the site I googled.

Look, stuffed if I know if its really in the movie, but it involves a 1964 Fleetwood and anything to do with a 1964 Fleetwood, couldn't, wouldn't and shouldn't be lied about.

Hmmmm, Fleeeeeeeetwood in my best Homer Simpson voice..... doh. :-) PMSL

Rico's car is the reason I bought my 64. Turino Turquoise with white trim. I even managed to find a Cowboy Cadillac plate on Ebay.

I do like your taste in women ( and cars )
jennifer Lawrence is my new favorite Movie Star
That girl just has it all - but i feel like i am --cheeting on J-LO --saying that LOL!!

Dude!   Jlo is old news!  I can just picture Lawrence doing the cat prowl over my hood like she did in american hustle!!  Antenna will b up!

The movie "Shag" features a lovely red '63 Cadillac convertible with white interior.

"Hillbillies In A Haunted House" '63 Coupe DeVille

"Austin Powers" briefly shows a '64 limo in the casino scene

"Walk The Line" I guess Johnny Cash had a lovely '63 Cadillac convertible? He did in the movie anyway.

"Junior Bonner" Steve McQueen drove a really beat up '64 white convertible in the movie.  Sad.

"Kill The Irishman" white 1963 coupe used by members of the mob in shootout scene.

Elvis herded cattle in a 1964 de Ville Convertible in the flick 'Stay Away, Joe!". Why did he herd cattle? Because he's Elvis Presley and can do anything he wants! It's good to be King! LOL  Here is a screen shot from our May 2014 Newsletter.

That's gonna leave a mark!  Hope Elvis has a good orbital buffer?

Well it didn't end well for the Cadillac!   But ended up singing to a bull and getting the girl later in the movie... . Yee Ha!

That will completely wreck an otherwise good afternoon.  Thankfully he got the girl though.

Geez, don't bath the Caddy in the mud hole.

Oh well, if he got the girl, at least he got the wrinkles out of Mr Wobbly.

Starter Solenoid replacement-how difficult? Where to buy?

Posted by Norman Silverman on August 20, 2019 at 8:24pm 8 Comments

Hello All.

I believe the starter solenoid has gone bad in my 64 DeVille. When I turn the key, often all I get is a click, then if I try a few times again the starter turns perfectly. All battery cables are on tight and the battery is good. So, I believe this problem is the solenoid. Where do I buy the right solenoid and is it necessary to remove the starter in order to swap it out? …

Upper A Arm Rubber Bumpers

Posted by Gene McIlroy on August 12, 2019 at 1:30pm 3 Comments

I have found a very good replacement part for the Upper A Arm Bumpers.  The top part is identical to the originals the bottom can be used as is or after a few minutes with a belt sander can be ground to the V shape as the originals were.  The replacement bumpers are for a 2001 to 2005 S10 Sanoma or Blazer.  Part number is on the box in the photos.  First photo is the box next to the box is the S10 part and an original.  Next photo shows my sanded down part next to an original.…
