Now that my 63 is painted im working on the interior. Planned on using a local shop but at under 1k for the front and back seat upholstery seems very reasonable. If anyone has used this kit, please post pictures.

Carpet kits just don't fit right. Get an upholstery shop to custom fit the carpet. Not sure on the rest.

Carpet i was told that really only one company makes the actual carpet, no matter where you buy.

Im more interested in hearing from someonr who used the seat upholstery

Never used opgi for seat upholstery, be more inclined to buy the material and have a custom shop install it, probably will put in new foam also. As far as the carpet goes if it isn't really hammered take it out and have it professionally cleaned. Then have it dyed, you can match it to a side kick. There are people out there that do this. We have a guy in Ct that does this and vinyl repair and he is the best. I did this to the carpet in my 64 and it looks great and stays original. Besides most of the carpet from these places just isn't that great, but then it depends how fussy you are.

With the car being a convertible it had water damage from over the years, and the floor pans were totally rusted. The carpet has already been thrown out. There was no saving it.

1963 Eldorado convertible boot

Posted by Les Eastling on February 27, 2020 at 10:33am 1 Comment

I need a used convertible boot for a 63 Cadillac convertible - condition or color is not an issue since it will be used as a pattern for making a new one. One from either a 62 series convertible or an Eldorado would work. I know I am searching for hen's teeth here... but you never know unless you ask!
