Another thing that does not work well on my caddy is the rear passenger window.
Downstairs he goes quite well, but he stops at the lower limit and does not want to go on, but when he handles his hand he will go down completely.
He gets up a bit, but I have a lot to help with the rest of the way up.
What should I do with it?
Please tell the advice of the window run I was using a lithium grease.
I attach a photo and a short video.
link for short video :
Check all electrical connections --and the GROUND -- make clean and shinny
Many things come back to life just cleaning the ground connection
You can remove the connectors to clean them and poish the metal
The window motor SB the problem as you have power going down and some up
Take it apart and see if hardened grease is the issue
Replacing the motor after the above would be the way to go
If the rear window stops work you need to check for broken wires in the driver door jam wire harness --under the rubber cover
thank you for the answer, the electricity should be ok, all the buttons work and it works just as if it sticks, maybe it will be the old fat, something like this I have now solved with seat transmision and there was a problem in the old lubricant.
So I want to ask what is the procedure of removing the window out of the car and the engine window?
Tony what does it mean "motor SB" :) excuse my english isn't so good :)
I addressed the slow moving rear qtr windows in my 64 CDV about 4 1/2 years ago. I bascally had dried on grease inside the tracks, replaced motors with better motors and make sure my channels and guides were well lubricated.
