I'm looking to buy a new fuel sending unit for my car and was wondering if anyone has had recent dealings with Caddy Daddy and if so, yeah or nay?

Caddy Daddy will be on the more expensive side for what he has

One on eBay for a 62 - $54.00
Put in - 1962 gas tank sending unit —-and it came up
Good idea. Thanks!
I bought mine from USA Parts & Supply (www.usapartssupply.com) I'm guessing 15+ years ago. It is a little off on the gauge, but that is expected and there are adjustments but I don't feel like dropping the tank and going thru the process.
I carry them new for 85.00 I test them to make sure they are accurate. The gauges in the car tend to be off after all these years. I find alot of gas gauges that are not accurate.
Thanks Jason.
Russ, that sounds great. I don't mind keeping my business "in the family". I'll e-mail you shortly.
Russ, I installed the sending unit yesterday afternoon and went and filled the car up this morning. The gauge now reads accurately and I'm really happy to have it working again, makes road trips a lot less stressful. Thanks for a great product.
The unit requiring some adjustment for the gas gauge to work as it should does make Russ are go to guy for this gas gauge sending unit purchase
Nice work Russ for all you do for our community and this in particular at this time
Enjoy and Stay Safe my friend
Dan
Glad to here your fuel gauge is now working as it should with parts fro Russ ñand good peace of mind from that on the road
I think you must have your trans out while doing your clutch work and oil pan work
If so do consider putting a can of STP in the trans as the smoothness of the synchro meshing will be an amazing experience that I myself did on my t-10 4 speed
Changed the feel of the smoothness of the messing synchros so much better than ever before ( 100 % better )
I think you will enjoy the new feel a lot
Enjoy
Tony, the new to me peace of mind regarding my fuel was put to the test today. We took a nice drive in the mountains and went a longer route than we normally would knowing we would easily make it back on the tank full we started out with. No guessing when to head back home. Awesome.
On the tranny oil front, TREMEC recommends AC Delco GM Synchromesh oil so that's what I use. The new clutch works great and shifts are butter smooth. One down side to this recommended oil is that it is fairly thin which makes the tranny noisier than a muncie running thicker oil.

I'm trying to remove the rear seatback on my 1964 deville conv. The only help on this site that I can find is the following:
The seatback, its bright stainless trim, and the speaker grille are removed as an assembly. The seat back hangs on two hooks near the top, and is retained to the body by two bolts and washers near the floor, one on the right side, one on the left.Once these fasteners are removed, lift the seat back upward and free it from the hooks
I've removed…

Are the front and rear seat frames the same for 63/64 Coupes and Convertibles because Original parts group makes reproduction seat covers for 1963 only and and i prefer the 1963 seat pattern so with that being said does anyone have information regarding this thanks.

Does anyone have a close-up picture of the ignitionswitch with keys in it made in landscape format? Switch must be in dashboard. Many thanks in advance. Cees.
