Misc Cadmium Plated 1/4"-20 Hex Bolts/Screws - $1 Each

I am selling Cadmium Plated 1/4"-20 Hex Head bolts / Screws for $1 each. I have regular hex head and raised ridge head, self-tapping, and with different head markings. Lengths by type head include the following:

REGULAR HEX HEAD
1/4"-20, 1/2" Long
1/4"-20, 5/8" Long
1/4"-20, 3/4" Long
1/4"-20, 1" Long
1/4"-20, 1 1/2" Long

RAISED RIDGE HEAD
1/4"-20, 3/4" Long

RAISED RIDGE HEAD & SELF-TAPPING THREAD

HEAD MARKINGS INCLUDE

Bolts are measured by diameter, thread pitch, length (bottom of head to tip), and type head, and hardness (standard, Grade 5, Grade 8, etc.) The bolts in this set are standard and raised ridge hex head 1/4" diameter with 20 tpi thread pitch (thread per inch), with the stated lengths. Some are Grade 5 and they are the same price, $1 each. Some are self-tapping with a tapered thread with groove designed to cut thread as it screws into metal.

NOTE: The bolt measuring tool seen at end of photos is extremely helpful for spec'ing a bolt and only costs a couple bucks at most hardware stores.

I am selling Cadmium Plated 1/4"-14 Flange Head Screws for $1 each. I call these "Sheet Metal Screws" as they have the very course 14 tpi thread and have a taper on thread end. Lengths by type head and thread include the following:

5-16"-18 Self-Tapping Ridge & Serrated Flange Head Bolts: $2 Each <-- Click for More Pictures

I am selling original 1963/64 Cadillac 5/16"-18 Ridge head, & Serrated Flange Head bolts, with Self-Tapping threads with New Cadmium Plating for $2 each. Almost all are 3/4" although I have a few at 1" and a couple at 7/8".

This is one of my last large batches of bolts with new Cadmium plating for now so get them before they are all gone!

Bolts are measured by diameter, thread pitch, length (bottom of head to tip), and type head, and hardness (standard, Grade 5, Grade 8, etc.) The bolts in this set have the serrated flange head which doesn't require a lock washer, and the raised ridge head bolts. All of these have the self-tapping tapered thread. These are used on various places on the cadillacs, often on fender and body brackets.

1957-1966 Cadmium Plated Carb Mounting Stud & Nut 8 pc Set - $6

I have the 8 pc carburetor mounting stud and nut set with new Cadmium Plating that fits 1957 to 1966 Cadillacs for $6.

This Includes:
- (4) 1 7/8" Long studs with 5/16"-18 course thread on the bottom end, and 5/16"-24 fine thread on the top end.
- (4) 5/16"-24 nuts.

I also sell the studs individually for $1 each and the nuts for 50 cents each.

NOTE: Per Master Parts Book not split (lock) washer was used but have those with New Cadmium Plating for 25 cents each so just add $1 if you want for lock washers for a final total of $7.

The only thing I have not posted are the larger 1/2” and 9/16” bumper bolts and nuts which are currently being sorted and grouped.

A NOTE ABOUT CADMIUM PLATING: Cadmium is a whitish-silver color that is applied with an electroplating process. The gold shown in the photos is the result of a gold or yellow chromate conversion. In the 50s, chromate solutions became available so that metals treated could be clear, yellow, gold, and olive. Many found the yellow and gold with their iridescent red, green and blue coloration attractive. Many platers call this Yellow-Gold Rainbow Plating or simply "Rainbow Plating". The finish is more commonly referred to as gold cadmium plated or yellow cadmium plated. You can add a chromate conversion to any plated metal or unplated metal. The chromate conversion increases the protection provided by cadmium plating.
All of my larger items have been “rack plated”, while the smaller fasteners are “barrel plated”, both with the cadmium plating base with the gold chromate conversion. To be clear, this IS Cadmium plating and IS NOT Zinc plating. I have had questions about whether or not this plating will affect bolt and nut thread size. For all practical purposes the answer is no. The old cadmium or other based plating is stripped from the old fasteners, then the new plating is applied resulting in basically the same size thread. It is of course always a good idea to chase newly plated threads with a tap & die before installing and torqueing.

Cadmium Plated 63/64 Cadillac FRONT Bumper Fasteners <-- Click for More Pictures

I have the 1963 & 1964 Cadillac FRONT Bumper 52 piece - 1/2" & 9/16" bolt, washer & Nuts with new Cadmium Plating. Note the 16 attachment points in 3rd picture:

- Blue Arrows point to the large 9/16" hex bolts, washers & Nuts that mount large bracket to frame

- Pink Arrows point to the bumper bracket to lower center and lower end bumpers 1/2" carriage bolts, washers, and nuts

- Green arrows point to the larger bracket to smaller bracket slightly longer 1/2" carriage bolts, washers, and nuts

Turned 1960 to 1974 Rear Wheel Drums - $65 <-- Click for more pictures

I understand the aftermarket drums are not cast correctly and will not mount up and have seen a spike in the need for VG original drums. Right now I have a good supply and sell the rear drums turned and checked for $65 each. These are the same drums used on the front, minus the front hubs. I also sell the drums unturned for $45 each. I'm trying to remove the rear seatback on my 1964 deville conv.  The only help on this site that I can find is the following:

The seatback, its bright stainless trim, and the speaker grille are removed as an assembly.  The seat back hangs on two hooks near the top, and is retained to the body by two bolts and washers near the floor, one on the right side, one on the left.Once these fasteners are removed, lift the seat back upward and free it from the hooks

1964 Convertible Seats.

Are the front and rear seat frames the same for 63/64 Coupes and Convertibles because Original parts group  makes reproduction seat covers for 1963 only and and i prefer the 1963 seat pattern so with that being said does anyone have information regarding this thanks.
