Long story... short.

Friday night, very slight vibration in Fleetwood.

Sunday, short trip, hard to tell if it was shits roads or vibration.

Monday, go to town.... by then, vibration worse. Get out onto highway, zip to 65 and half my filling were falling out. Shakin all over.... short trip and into gas station. I ran my hands over the tires, well, the bits I could and all seemed ok.

Back out onto highway, can't get over 50 without stuff wanting to vibrate off the car. Pull over again, and do a second hand on tires thing. Its around 35 c and me, the tires and the road are red hot. Couldn't feel any lumps, so off the highway and onto the back roads to home.

This is when I affectedly rubbed the Fleetwood's dash, and said, c'mon baby, I buy you the best oils, i use the nicest smelling car wash fluids on you..... just please get us both home.

Yesterday, took off the right rear and its had a massive separation.... bugger

Is a lot of it still apart as i know you have the Mini Cooper you are also working on and enjoying
Do you feel comfortable walking away from the Cadillac for a while with it apart for long periods of time As you need to remember where all those parts go back together ?

Glad you are stopping by to stay in touch

64 Recirc/Fresh Air Door Actuator replaced; FROM THE INSIDE.

I am happy to report that I have successfully replaced the Fresh Air/Recirc door actuator that is located on the blower box-and have done so without having to remove the blower box. I did it by taking out the glove box and attacking it from the back.  It took several days, LOTS of patience and some band-aids, but it is done. THE most difficult part -BY FAR- is to remove and then replace the screw that sits on the actuator arm, connecting it to the fresh…

Where do the flashers go in my 64 Deville Convert.  I'm thinking that's why both turn signals stopped working.

Source for Motor mounts and Trans mounts 1964 SDV

Where is the best place to purchase good quality motor mounts/trans mounts for my 1964 SDV? I see that Rock Auto has them for $8 and change, and others for $24 and change. Big difference. Is there a better place to buy them from?
