Thanks Jon, I had my local radio shop do it so I couldn’t tell you what they wound up using, I gave them an old gauge cluster to play with and once they got it right they installed on my original cluster

Eric, i still want to get my dash illuminated like yours. Do you have any more pictures? I loved the effect of your illumination. Thanks Jon

Eric the dash lights look fantastic. What did you use? The headlights would be close to $600 Canadian from opgi shipped to my door. I try not to buy anything from them.
Thanks Clovis. I agree OPGI shipping is ridiculous, maybe you can google the headlight specs and find them closer to you, I only changed my main set and truth be told I don’t do much night driving snyway
Eric I just saw the response on the gauge cluster. Talk to them about what they have and see if they want to list under our suppliers page. I'm thinking about buying Russ's nos gauge panel for $1,000,000.00. I might have a few pennies left to get those lights installed.

Just as a point of interest the dash lights on our year Cadillacs was supposed to be on the dim side from the factory
Your dash lights did not get dim from age most likely is my point
My 62 and 64 have the same dim dash lighting stock
I do think that its purpose was to create a soft mood in the cabin
I like the stock lighting mood created by the convertibles interior lighting
Just a heads up on the original lighting look that came in these cars

If more light is required --So be it

As I had stated earlier I have the upgraded headlight harness from Russ. Driving home tonight and it was almost pitch black out a little after seven. I also changed all headlights to halogen when I bought the car because there was three different kinds on it. My lights are clear and bright and were good even before the harness upgrade. But one thing came to mind is headlight aiming. After a car has been around for fifty plus years things move and get moved around a bit headlight wise. Sometimes an adjustment is a lot of help for better nighttime driving. Just a suggestion for anyone looking to improve things on the cheap.
You got a picture of those led headlights installed on the car?

Upper A Arm Rubber Bumpers

Posted by Gene McIlroy on August 12, 2019 at 1:30pm 3 Comments

I have found a very good replacement part for the Upper A Arm Bumpers.  The top part is identical to the originals the bottom can be used as is or after a few minutes with a belt sander can be ground to the V shape as the originals were.  The replacement bumpers are for a 2001 to 2005 S10 Sanoma or Blazer.  Part number is on the box in the photos.  First photo is the box next to the box is the S10 part and an original.  Next photo shows my sanded down part next to an original.…
