Hello Cat's & Kitten's :) Happy Turkey Day !
I believe I have an intake manifold leak. The last time I bought an intake manifold gasket with the chock port blocked from Olson's gasket's. This time I would like to block the port with a steel shim I will make myself.
All of the gaskets I'm finding are metal & I'm looking for a nonmetal one.Any help will be very nice !

Hey Joe D
Have you check with Best Gaskets and Felpro that are two of the best gasket companies ?
Do you know to spray water on the manifolds and the carb —gasket areas —with the engine running you will hear a change in the sound of the engine when you hit the vacuum leak
Do check the vacuum advance valve for holding a vacuum
Plug off the vacuum line at the back of the intake that goes into the cabin and plug it while doing your trouble shooting of the engine as the vacuum leak could be in the cabin area in a 64 with all the vacuum lines needed to work the comfort control system
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours
Enjoy
Thank you Tony, never heard of this trick before.

I'm trying to remove the rear seatback on my 1964 deville conv. The only help on this site that I can find is the following:
The seatback, its bright stainless trim, and the speaker grille are removed as an assembly. The seat back hangs on two hooks near the top, and is retained to the body by two bolts and washers near the floor, one on the right side, one on the left.Once these fasteners are removed, lift the seat back upward and free it from the hooks
I've removed…
