I have new battery cable clips for sale. I had these made up, but they are not exact repicas.  They look like the originals but do not have the shaped base like the original.

The manufacturer also messed up on the retainer.  It takes a rivet to hold the clip in place.  These are more flexible than the repops, and less expensive.

I will be pursuing getting a new manufacturer lined up, but getting to this stage took 11 months.

6.00 each.   email me at  russ85747@hotmail.com        Limited, I only have 15 clips.

Bumping this up. Russ what is the jug with the red cap for?

That is a coolant recovery tank.

My 63 has a similar coolant recovery tank. Is this a add on? or did some cars come with a coolant recovery tank?

Thanks

Our year Cadillacs did not come with a coolant recovery tanks
Those came later as a stock item
Only a hose on the side of the radiator that goes to the floor

Tank just seems to be a good idea
I installed one myself
Why waste good coolant that can be reused

I recommend using a rad cap --with the red pressure release handle so WHEN you over heat you can manage the sistuation Much better
If adding cold water to a hot engine Always have the engine running or you can crack the block

If your ignition wires get sprayed with hot collant from the fan -- change them as there coating will be damaged and cause electrical arching to engine metal parts

Enjoy

64 Recirc/Fresh Air Door Actuator replaced; FROM THE INSIDE.

Posted by Norman Silverman on February 4, 2019 at 11:21pm 8 Comments

I am happy to report that I have successfully replaced the Fresh Air/Recirc door actuator that is located on the blower box-and have done so without having to remove the blower box. I did it by taking out the glove box and attacking it from the back.  It took several days, LOTS of patience and some band-aids, but it is done. THE most difficult part -BY FAR- is to remove and then replace the screw that sits on the actuator arm, connecting it to the fresh…

Where do the flashers go in my 64 Deville Convert.  I'm thinking that's why both turn signals stopped working.

Source for Motor mounts and Trans mounts 1964 SDV

Posted by Norman Silverman on January 9, 2019 at 4:23pm 4 Comments

Hi.

Where is the best place to purchase good quality motor mounts/trans mounts for my 1964 SDV? I see that Rock Auto has them for $8 and change, and others for $24 and change. Big difference. Is there a better place to buy them from?

Thanks

Norm
