I pickup yesterday seats from my local upholstery shop.I did restore springs (remove rust with Rust Mort and paint with POR-15).I have to restore seat transmission etc.-yet.I like how it came out.I did ask for vinyl to go over seating area and I found material close to original in local store. They replace everything: foam carpet in the back they wrap handles with vinyl. The only think that I miss is the crest in the upper center on 2 seats.Total cost $1200 (including material that I provide).I do have old original material (shown in one of the pictures) if somebody have the same material on they seats in worse condition and want to replace -let me know.

Where do the flashers go in my 64 Deville Convert.  I'm thinking that's why both turn signals stopped working.

Posted by Norman Silverman on January 9, 2019 at 4:23pm 2 Comments

Hi.

Where is the best place to purchase good quality motor mounts/trans mounts for my 1964 SDV? I see that Rock Auto has them for $8 and change, and others for $24 and change. Big difference. Is there a better place to buy them from?

Thanks

Lately if I haven't started my '63 in four or five days it seems that the carburetor has gone dry. The starter cranks for an extended period of time and the engine doesn't come close to firing. The fuel pump is new and there is always fuel in the glass bowl of the fuel filter. This, along…
