Hi,, after geting the regulator replaced, car seems to be running good.
Last year, i had concernes about oil pressure seemingly low,,,basically, by summer, i had gone to 20 50 oil, and my 65 mph prssures stayed a 23 to 24,, ilde at light, right at 10 or 11.. winter rolleed around in MT, so thinking that heavy oil would be too much, i drained about half, went with a little lighter stuff, and my pressure built up to 32 quicker,, it was like molasses slow on 20 degree morns,, anyway, i am now back in MS... stil have the half and half mixture,,,not really cold, but now,, for what ever reason, no matter how warm or long i drive,, i get 27 to 29 on my pressure after full warm up and on the road. and my idle at the light is about 18, i have done nothing to the car,, other than drop 6000 feet in elevation.
start up,, 32 to 34,,,, at warm engine, at 35 mph (per manual) i am at 31, 32 as manual suggest to be.
i am just kinda of wondering how or why, other than the oil thickness, would i be running at 5 lb higher pressures?
i know that in warm weather, using 10 30, my 65 mph pressue is about 19,,, 20/50 i get 23 ro 24,, and y near idile pressures are up almost 10 psi to 19 to 20.
would any of these pressures bother anyone?,,, or should i be on guard for something,,, i drive the car 50 miles almost every day here in MS...
thanks,,
kim

Jason, I liked the detail and information you have provided. I would like to do mine similar to yours. Can you help? Do you have trunk material? OPGI is sending the trunk product for my 63 Fleetwood. But it does cover the entire trunk as yours was done. If you do not have can you give me a reference? Thanks!! Bob

I mentioned during the 63/64 chapter zoom meeting on 3/21 that we had installed a car lift in our garage. Someone asked what kind and I didn't have the info at hand, so here is a link to it and also a link to some tall jack stands we use to add more stability to the car and an additional safety factor. There is something about getting underneath one of these cars that makes me a little nervous! …

Just developed a significant leak coming from a freeze plug right over the starter. Would this be considered a "cam plug" i.e. like Dorman 17616DS? Our cars have multiple sizes of plugs on engine block and I want to get the right one. Also, does anyone know how pricey this is for a shop to fix? Thanks!
