Thanks to all.......

I wanted to ask if my tires can be salvaged
Probably can’t tell from the images but there is a lot of paint/primer overspray on them
Plenty of tread left......any ideas on how to clean hem up

Thanks

Mark

Mark, For light overspray on rubber tires, I would remove the hubcap, protect the wheel if painted, and use 0000 Steel wool dipped in Acetone and gently go over the tire. Start with the blackwall, then try the whitewall. I run the 8mm Accel Superstock plug wires on my engine and wanted to get the lettering off and basically did the same thing.  With the plug wires across an old town I was able to wipe the lettering off the wires leaving them all black in just a few minutes. The Acetone will dry quickly, and you should be able to just gently go over wiping off with the Acetone drying way before it can damage the tire. Just be careful not to get Acetone on any painted surfaces and wear gloves. I used Acetone extensively when cleaning parts, as it quickly dries, leaves zero residue and will remove paint quickly!  I think it and WD40 are my 2 favorite go to juices in the garage!

Mark I have the wide white walls on my car. I wanted to know how to make sure they stayed their best so I went to the manufacturers website to se if they had recommended cleaning procedures. That did.. Scrub hard.. Very hard.. Lol

Man that's nice. Rechrome? LEDs? Quit teasing us lol

Looks really good.

Just noticed a nice looking trumpet horn on ebay ; price seems fair. I am not connected to this item in any way, just thought someone here might like it.

Need correct Muffler for 64 DeVille

Posted by Norman Silverman on June 18, 2018 at 7:57pm 13 Comments

Hello all.

I need to replace the muffler on my 64 and the local shop does not have the correct one.

After looking on the web site's help section, I still don't see a recommended part/manufacturer or suggestion.

What is the best solution to purchase for a stock, single system with 2 1/2 inch pipes, center in, offset out?

Thanks.

64 Power Seat Transmission cleaning-it did the trick

Hello All.

I thought I'd post a little encouragement for those that might have an inoperative 6 way power seat in their car. The fix is relatively easy, and VERY cheap.

I just purchased an original (not re-painted, nor reupholstered) 64 Sedan De Ville 4 window. When I purchased it the front seat was adjusted forward and tilted down in front; two of the worst positions for me, so I had no choice but to attempt to repair it.

Pushing the switch in each direction brought…
