I have several side moldings for a 1964 Deville. Not sure if they are compatible. Jon

Hi Jon,

Could you take a picture of the fender trim where it connects to the front boomerang?  That will tell me if it will fit. Thank you!

Door and rear qtr are interchangable. Front fender side trim is quite different due to larger eyebrow molding it connects with at the front on 63 vs very thin eyebrow trim on the 64, and the raised square ridge down bottom of front fender from wheel well to front on the 63. The 63 trim is physically wider than the 64 as it approaches the front, and the 63 is not side specific while the 64 is due to the fact it taper to a thinner point to meet the thin 64 eyebrow molding.
So... 63 to 64 Coupe door trim is the same/interchangeable and 63 to 64 Coupe rear qtr is the same/interchangeable, but not the front fender trim. There are also a couple of versions of the rear qtr trim as some have a flattened very end and others have a raised square end... and both types seem to be used on both years.. but just something to be aware of.

Thank you Jason for the information! I appreciate your knowledge!!

Hi Jon,

I am interested in coupe door trim and coupe quarter trim for both sides?

Help on Removal of rear seatback on 64 convertible

Posted by Nile Bolen on January 8, 2021 at 11:44am 7 Comments

I'm trying to remove the rear seatback on my 1964 deville conv.  The only help on this site that I can find is the following:

The seatback, its bright stainless trim, and the speaker grille are removed as an assembly.  The seat back hangs on two hooks near the top, and is retained to the body by two bolts and washers near the floor, one on the right side, one on the left.Once these fasteners are removed, lift the seat back upward and free it from the hooks

I've removed…

Are the front and rear seat frames the same for 63/64 Coupes and Convertibles because Original parts group  makes reproduction seat covers for 1963 only and and i prefer the 1963 seat pattern so with that being said does anyone have information regarding this thanks.
