Has anyone purchased one of these for a 1963 recently? Kanter no longer offers them and nobody else seems to, either. I tried Classic Exhaust everyone on this forum raves about, but they only offer for one year - 1956. That won't cut it...can't find any place that still sells these!
You are using two of the best muffler supplies for our cars
Looks like the demand for Stainless steel has dropped off causing your issue in getting that exhaust system
The stock system does hold up well given the limitations i have suggested above
The muffler for our cars is a very unique design ( long big and flat ) to prevent the muffler from bottoming out on bumps so do stay with that stock design
We do have certain limitations with a 56 year old car and keeping it rolling down the road
A shop at one point put a thicker fatter muffler on my 64 only requiring that I replace it with the stock design ( that I had to special order from Classic Car Parts ) as the car was constantly bottoming out over speed bumps and the shop had nothing like our stock muffler available
