I have a 429 and want to replace the cap that sits between the AC Compressor and the Fuel Filter attached to some tube. Can't find the name of it. Pic attached. My cap is orange if that matters. Not even sure what it does. Like a breather of sorts. Any education would be appreciated.

Roy, the oil fill vent tube cap is orange because it denotes a California car. The cap is sealed to not allow vapors to escape. You should have a tube that goes from a valve cover up to the air cleaner. And a filter should be on the end of the tube inside the air cleaner.

I have a new orange cap if your engine truly is a Cali car, or I have regular vented caps if your engine is not.

is there a part number for that tube? Running from the cap to the air filter .

I don't have a part # or the tube but have an illustration and picture that might help. 1st check out the Cadillac Serviceman Bulletin with picture (click to enlarge) that indicates there were installed on all California cars after VIN 64x057000. In the 2nd picture see the tube. I had one California parts car way way back but didn't have sense at the time to understand what I had and did not get good pictures. From the illustration and my foggy memory I think the tube was black...Cadillac Blue would look correct as it does in this picture.

The California emissions kit came as a kit, but you should have been able to order the parts separately.  I do not have a part #.

1963 Eldorado convertible boot

I need a used convertible boot for a 63 Cadillac convertible - condition or color is not an issue since it will be used as a pattern for making a new one.
