It has been a while since i last asked or posted something. My car has his engine put back in and i am now just working om some loose ends.
The last thing i have to do before i can get on the road safely are the turn signal lights.... I just cant get them to work properly. My cornering lights work great when using the turn switch. But none of the lights flash front or back. Sometimes the fender indicator goes on but they don't flash either when using the signal switch.
The light units left and right where not good so i ordered New ones of Russ. They work great on the workbench but not in the car as far as flashing goes.
I pulled the car apart when everything was working so don't know what happened.
Some pictures of the engine bay and more.
The very first thing to do with our 55 year old cars --is to be cleaning the grounds for all electrical contacts
A lot will come back to life ( you should be pleasently surprised ) and is a no cost fix
Now that a good thing
Check the turn signal flasher canister.
You need to remove the pannel at the base of the steering wheel to see the Flasher that Russ makes reference to
Many are silver or gold color
Controls the blinking of the turn signals
Thanks guys i have been tampering with ground and bad wires all evening. Luckily i got them to work again.
