Hi Guys, just looking under the hood I noticed this 3 connection tied up. It seems to come out of the firewall with 3 others one of which appears to go to the cruise control unit (which isn't working as there is some sort of speedo cable tied up near the handbrake under the car another thing I will get onto)

I'll have a look on mine later today and see if I can be of any help.

I knew you'd be on that quickly mate. LOL

Thanks Anders so I'm onto it!

There is a plug to the cruise control unit, does it fit that?

I had a look on mine and Yep....

Go to the front of the cruise control and down low is where it'll plug in. I'd fit a new end on it though.

Thanks Kevin, appreciate you taking a look, seems mine may be missing some things, I cannot locate the male plug underneath.

down really low at the front. The washer bottle may be hiding it.

Even if you unbolt the CC unit and tip it back, there should be a connector down there. Mind you, it is disconnected and maybe that's the reason?

Just let me know if you need a picture of anything. My number is 0411 545 025, during work hours, as i'm a grumpy old prick other times.

My Fleetwood is fairly original and should be correct. Mind you, yours has been restored, so should be better I guess really.

Anyway, if ya need me, you have the number or if you want me to stay the hell away..... don't call.... LOL :-)

Yep found it thanks Kev!

Shane and I spoke on the phone yesterday for a fair while. This is great site for bringing folks together with a common interest.

It was pretty cool, as we had more than a few things in common, above and beyond, both being very smart, articulate classy guys with the good taste to own a 64 Fleetwood Sixty Special. :-)

Well, I don't know about all that but at least you speak the same language : )

1963 Eldorado convertible boot

Posted by Les Eastling on February 27, 2020 at 10:33am 1 Comment

I need a used convertible boot for a 63 Cadillac convertible - condition or color is not an issue since it will be used as a pattern for making a new one. One from either a 62 series convertible or an Eldorado would work. I know I am searching for hen's teeth here... but you never know unless you ask!
