Have there ever been any kind of collection of VIN numbers of our cars? I know there is for Eldorado, but is there for all cars?

Basically a register to keep track of the cars that's still around and the history of them.

If anybody want to start such register I volunteer my car:

64K055288. Series 62 Six Window Sedan. Aspen White.

Anders, sounds like you just volunteered! Here is my # 64J102576 built March 19, 1964!

Was afraid of that.

Just think, I can give you 50 VIN #'s that you will not find... so you can scratch those off your search!

Only present cars. No point chasing long gone ghosts.

Not planning on chasing anything. Will update the list whenever someone posts a reply.

I'd been thinking of this myself.... me being a selfish prick, was thinking of doing it for the Fleetwood's only, but Anders idea is a much better plan. i'll bung ours into the mix soon. At the time of this post, Clovis, Anders and myself, are on at the same time.

First thing that sprang to mind was Curly Moe and Larry

I reckon it will be really cool if we end up with 2 cars with consecutive numbers.

I hope everyone gets behind this.

Kevin, I don't think we will get many cars into this. But its still worth a try. Biggest concern is the privacy. I am afraid that many people don't want to advertise their personal details. Also I have an issue displaying my details.

Have asked Jason for a slot in the next Newsletter. Will write something to push for this.

Anybody not comfortable displaying the VIN and other info on the site can always add me as a Friend and send the details direct to me. I will keep the info safe and only share VIN and color. So no personal information will be posted at all. The full list will of course be available to Jason or whom is the director of the 63/64 Chapter (think Jason will be around for another 50+ year/scrap cars).

Starter Solenoid replacement-how difficult? Where to buy?

Posted by Norman Silverman on August 20, 2019 at 8:24pm 8 Comments

Hello All.

I believe the starter solenoid has gone bad in my 64 DeVille. When I turn the key, often all I get is a click, then if I try a few times again the starter turns perfectly. All battery cables are on tight and the battery is good. So, I believe this problem is the solenoid. Where do I buy the right solenoid and is it necessary to remove the starter in order to swap it out? …

Upper A Arm Rubber Bumpers

Posted by Gene McIlroy on August 12, 2019 at 1:30pm 3 Comments

I have found a very good replacement part for the Upper A Arm Bumpers.  The top part is identical to the originals the bottom can be used as is or after a few minutes with a belt sander can be ground to the V shape as the originals were.  The replacement bumpers are for a 2001 to 2005 S10 Sanoma or Blazer.  Part number is on the box in the photos.  First photo is the box next to the box is the S10 part and an original.  Next photo shows my sanded down part next to an original.…
