Looking to buy a speedometer assembly without the dial (see pic for reference).

Mine got stuck (for the second time) and since my dial is very nice I don't want to replace it.

Keep  in mind while your speedo is out you can set the mileage to any number you like especially if changing the speedo for a new used part

I spoke to DMV and it is legal —to do it that way

I would think you might have to acquire a complete speedo ( not the bathing suit ) and use the parts you need to repair yours if you cannot just get the parts for yours you need

i think. getting a complete speedo is the easier way to go as the seller may have no desire to sell the speedo in parts for his own reasons

The cost for a used speedo part could be the same as a whole speedo unit

just my 2 cents on the thought

Enjoy

Hey Tony,

Yeah, maybe you're right.

So, if anyone has a complete speedo assembly up for sale, please let me know.

I mean the complete assembly, as suggested by Tony.

Damaged dial no problem.

Dash removal

Hello everyone,

On a 63 CDV, if a guy wanted to remove the entire dash to get all the metal painted, and do some other things behind there, how would he go about doing that?  I checked here and the shop manual, but can't find a complete guide.

As always, and help or direction is appreciated.  Thanks!

Thanks for letting me join the club.  Picked up this ‘64 Coupe Deville a few months ago out of Beverly MA, the car has few stickers on it from various Cadillac clubs, didn’t know if anyone might recognize it from it’s “Glory days.” Everything seems pretty healthy except for the body and some very Mickey Mouse repairs, was wondering if anyone had any leads on…
