Well, it took me 4 1/2 years to get around to putting whitewalls on the car, but I've finally done it. Couldn't stand those wretched BF Goodrich Max Load blackwalls any longer, although they handled well. These 1.5" WSW tires were only $76 from Walmart, with free shipping to my front door. I'm very pleased with them.

Thanks Jason!  Hey Kevin, these are Suretrac brand tires.  Here are the technical specs on them:  235 75 R15 size;  Speed rating up to 112 MPH.   Load index: 2,039 lbs/tire.  Temp grade = A 115 mph.  Traction grade = A.  Pros: low cost, good looks, quiet ride, nice handling.  Cons: soft sidewalls - but not a problem for me since I won't be driving this car over the edge of Grand Canyon  :)

Rear Side Window Stainless Sill Removal

Posted by Lee Martin on June 24, 2019 at 3:07pm 2 Comments

I'm looking to replace a piece of the stainless trim that sits on the outside of the car like a sill outside the rear passenger side window.  I can just barely see one screw at one end but does the door panel and/or window need to come out to access this?  If anyone has done this I'd like to learn what is involved.  Here's a photo of the piece I'm talking about:…
