Mack

In 55 there were no tubeless tires or radial tires as they came later

I Think — you have to use tubes in these rims as the spokes go up into the rims base making for air leakage locations otherwise

The car was fast for its time slot blowing off some  local performance cars from a 20 mile an hour roll to everyones surprise

The lines are amazing with the big Dagmars ( a women sex symbol back in the day ) on the front bumper
I do not know exactly  why but the 55 is not a car that is around or  seen restored  much at all in todays market place

It was a very special car in its day and we had into the early 60’s as it was only used for family outings and around town often by me after high school

Dad used his Open cab Jaguar XK 120’s during this time period to commute  to his Factory in Brooklyn NY  so the car mostly sat in the garage

Stay safe

Enjoy

1963 Eldorado convertible boot

Posted by Les Eastling on February 27, 2020 at 10:33am 1 Comment

I need a used convertible boot for a 63 Cadillac convertible - condition or color is not an issue since it will be used as a pattern for making a new one. One from either a 62 series convertible or an Eldorado would work. I know I am searching for hen's teeth here... but you never know unless you ask!
