Opening the hood

I'm having problems opening my hood on the Cadillac, I have to use a piece of wood to slide the latch over,am I missing a piece that protrudes in front of the grill.Help.   Continue

"In addition to checking the other connections, check voltage regulator ground... make sure it is well grounded to radiator support, and radiator support is grounded to main battery ground cable via the short jumper ground pigtail seen in 2nd picture…"

My 1964 Cadillac electrical system is running around 17 volt which is to high,the alternator, battery and the voltage regulator was replaced but the voltage is still to high, could it be the pig tail that plugs into the voltage regulator. See More

Where can I find the V.I.N. on a 63 convertible?  The usual space at the base of the interior windshield on the driver's side has been decimated by weather.

Car lift and jack stands

I mentioned during the 63/64 chapter zoom meeting on 3/21 that we had installed a car lift in our garage.
