Upper A Arm Rubber Bumpers

Posted on August 12, 2019 at 1:30pm 3 Comments

I have found a very good replacement part for the Upper A Arm Bumpers.  The top part is identical to the originals the bottom can be used as is or after a few minutes with a belt sander can be ground to the V shape as the originals were.  The replacement bumpers are for a 2001 to 2005 S10 Sanoma or Blazer.  Part number is on the box in the photos.  First photo is the box next to the box is the S10 part and an original.  Next photo shows my sanded down part next to an original.…

Front top ball joint replacement

Posted on May 15, 2015 at 12:35am 7 Comments

Starting to tear down my front end to replace all suspension parts.  First problem encountered is removing the top ball joints,  "spherical joints".  Page 4-1 of shop manual says "The upper suspension arms and spherical joints are interchangeable, left and right, previous to being welded into an assembly.  Figure 4-35 0n page 4-23 shows picture of the upper arm without the ball joint.

QUESTION: do you have to grind off the welds to replace the upper ball joints?  or how do you replace…

It looks great Gene. I think i can patch up the damaged part. It is no use to use the drivers side. It is the mirror copy of the passenger side. So you have a Paypal account. Send the e-mail address to (My work address) and tell me the Cost of shipping. Dont need all of it shown on the photo. Cees.

Dash removal

Posted by Jake Mickley on October 9, 2019 at 12:06am 9 Comments

Hello everyone,

On a 63 CDV, if a guy wanted to remove the entire dash to get all the metal painted, and do some other things behind there, how would he go about doing that?  I checked here and the shop manual, but can't find a complete guide.

As always, and help or direction is appreciated.  Thanks!

Thanks for letting me join the club.  Picked up this ‘64 Coupe Deville a few months ago out of Beverly MA, the car has few stickers on it from various Cadillac clubs, didn’t know if anyone might recognize it from it’s “Glory days.” Everything seems pretty healthy except for the body and some very Mickey Mouse repairs, was wondering if anyone had any leads on…
