"I believe you have to pull the dash pad to get to the instrument panel bolts.  (I think you have to take the a-pillar trim off to get the dash pad out)."

"I'm thinking my fuel gauge is bad. When grounding the wire from the tank, it shows a very light spark. You do have a gauge set ? I have the instrument panel out. Easy to put in ? If you have the gauge set I'll take that and the AC…"

"Sounds like a bad fuel gauge.    The guidematic system is nt working, and locks the headlights to the highbeam setting.  You can disconnect the system from the rest of the car and have regular working headlights.  Follow the wire…"

"So i pulled and tested the dimmer switch, it is working but my headlights stay on bright. The single connector wire to the switch is hot. I didn't think of leaving it disconnected...may try that ?  So I don't think I need the dimmer…"

"If your guide matic headlight dimming system does not work, and you do not plan on getting if working in the future, you can use the regular dimmer switch. "

"Use the white plumbers tape on the threads of the vacuum fitting so you can  get it tight —-while having it in the correct location to be adding your other  two vacuum connections correctly  Clamp and seal  all carb vacuum…"
