So I got my "new" intake today and for the most part everything looks the same as the stock one even the casting number. The one I picked up has the same 1477387 number but has a P1 in front of it.…Continue

Steering Gear Leak

Posted on May 31, 2017 at 5:58pm 4 Comments

Good Afternoon!

I am having a large steering gear leak and was wondering, does anyone have a resource for someone who can replace all the seals reasonably? I could probably do it myself. Has anyone done this? Thanks in advance!

1963 Fuel Drain Plug?

Posted on May 23, 2017 at 8:32am 3 Comments

I have been trying to drain the fuel in my tank (just had the carb rebuilt) on my 63 Deville. I cannot for the life of me find a drain plug on the tank. It does have a drain plug correct?

1963 Deville Ignition Conversion

Posted on May 26, 2016 at 3:42am 1 Comment

Hello fellow Cadillac owners! I am wanting to convert the ignition on my Cadillac to electronic ignition. I have heard that this is very difficult with the Delco distributors on the 390. Please let me know if anybody has done this and how hard it would be of a job for me to complete. Also, what brand of kit and coil did you use? Thank you guys!

1963 Cadillac Deville Brake Booster

Posted on October 27, 2015 at 9:35pm 13 Comments

So I got the brakes done on the 63, and went to test them after adjusting them. The pedal went all the way to the floor when driving. I took the vacuum hose off of the power brake booster and pumped the brakes and air was coming out of the vacuum side telling me that the diaphragm is broken. Does anybody have any idea where I can find another booster? Help is appreciated!

64 Recirc/Fresh Air Door Actuator replaced; FROM THE INSIDE.

Posted by Norman Silverman on February 4, 2019 at 11:21pm 8 Comments

I am happy to report that I have successfully replaced the Fresh Air/Recirc door actuator that is located on the blower box-and have done so without having to remove the blower box. I did it by taking out the glove box and attacking it from the back.  It took several days, LOTS of patience and some band-aids, but it is done. THE most difficult part -BY FAR- is to remove and then replace the screw that sits on the actuator arm, connecting it to the fresh…

Flashers

Where do the flashers go in my 64 Deville Convert.  I'm thinking that's why both turn signals stopped working.

Source for Motor mounts and Trans mounts 1964 SDV

Posted by Norman Silverman on January 9, 2019 at 4:23pm 4 Comments

Hi.

Where is the best place to purchase good quality motor mounts/trans mounts for my 1964 SDV? I see that Rock Auto has them for $8 and change, and others for $24 and change. Big difference. Is there a better place to buy them from?

Thanks

Norm
