Hi Russ!  I would love to see you put a "Big Cad" into one of your '63-64 cars.  While not for the meek and mild, the conversion is a definite improvement, keeps the car "all Cadillac" and eases the sourcing of parts when you are on vacation 500 miles from home and your fuel pump dies!

I have attached a link from the company where I bought the crate motor. Of course they published this years AFTER I did the job so mine was trial, error, cuss, cuss, cuss and then success!

This lays out the swap up to 1962 but our frames are very similar to the '62 and I can honestly say 90% of the mods described within are valid. Good luck, let me know how else I can help!

Rear Side Window Stainless Sill Removal

Posted by Lee Martin on June 24, 2019 at 3:07pm 2 Comments

I'm looking to replace a piece of the stainless trim that sits on the outside of the car like a sill outside the rear passenger side window.  I can just barely see one screw at one end but does the door panel and/or window need to come out to access this?  If anyone has done this I'd like to learn what is involved.  Here's a photo of the piece I'm talking about:…
