dim tail lights

dim tail lights

n my '64 base convert, the tail lights are very dim. I wouldn't think that they would pass any current requirements. The tech checked the bulbs and they had been replaced with EDs. We went back to incandescents, no better. We have not measured voltages. Any improvements available? Any brighter bulbs? The brake lights in the fins are bright and perfect, so it seems unlikely that the running tail lights would barely show. Thanks,JKSee More

where do I find a new and better motor?

Posted on May 24, 2018 at 11:43am 11 Comments

My '64 convert is getting better, but the engine remains questionable. Starts and runs well enough, powerful, but I think I hear a main bearing banging, the balance is not great and I'd like to upgrade to fuel injection if I can.

Are there dependable remans available of good quality? Are new crate engines available? Will more advanced engines from newer years fit?

Also, please, the diff ratio is quite high, lots of RPMs compared to today's cars. Are there diffs with lower…

I recently took my car to a “Cadillac” “Specialist here in Los angles CA.

After leaving my car to diagnose my steering column for not shifting properly. I get this txt from the shop owner. Mind you I just got the car and wanted to at least shift from the column without having to shift for the engine bay. Also wanted to get a price on dash lights to work. Basically I’m trying to feel out if he’s putting gravy on the labor.

63/64 Cadillacs for sale

Posted by Frank Herrera on December 10, 2018 at 7:41pm 3 Comments

Hi fellas!!

Well I recently found a guy here locally, who’s got about 8-9 63/64 Cadillacs convertible and hardtop coupes. I also recently found a 64 convertible Eldorado. I really want to purchase it here shortly. If anyone wants to buy it off me or the guy selling it, let me know ASAP. It’s really a great price. If anyone is looking for anything let me know. If you have Instagram my handle is @caddikingheartbreaker. You can also message me on here. I’ll check back from time to time. Or… Continue

Although the radiator was not leaking, nor was the car running hot, I tool out the radiator today to have it boiled out and rodded out. Then I changed the oil and filter (filter is very easy to reach with the radiator out), then the thermostat got changed.

I'll have the radiator back from the shop on Monday, and will reinstall it then.

The front lower ends are gone but what's there looks to be in decent condition and a fair price in today's market. I have no connection, just passing it along in case it might work for someone.
