Wiring

Hey is there a demonstration on how the 63 should be grounded I took it to several mechanics and they said the wiring is fine I have to find out why the car shuts of after I drive for a while. I"m going to try to change the points and condenser next. I changed the coil and fuel pump but the same thing occurred again

car trouble

for the past few weeks every time i drive my car the seems to shut off after driving for about an hour and will not start until the car cools of. I have changed the coil and also the fuel pump but the same thing happened last night. i spoke to a friend and he stated that it might be the carburetor. can someone please give me a suggestion

tranny problem

I took my 63 for a drive and the car takes a long time to get out of first gear and it has like a pull or jerk like feel with it does finally shift can any of you guys give and idea whats causing that and how do i go about fixing it myself.

Rear axle

Where can I get gears for my 63 center axle and are they easy to put on. I found a 62 Cadillac in the junk yard are the gears in the rear axle the same

transmission

is the 63 deville transmission the same as the 63 eldorado. my 63 tranny seems to get stuck in first gear and will not shift to second gear can somebody give me some ideas on what is causing that and is it something that I could do on my own. I dont have much mechanical experience but i have to start learning if i want to keep this car. i have so much passion for these cars that its crazy

Harmonic balancer holes are too shallow for the 3 bolts of puller

As a European, I fell in love with Americans cars and Americana stuff.

I bought a running 63 for cheap .but there is no secret when you buy cheap ,it is big project. The car needs everything. Overtime I was able to slowing buy parts .actually  I am looking for the passenger front lower section which is becoming harder ,and harder to find
