Comfortron Power Module Reinstalled; BLOWER BLOCKAGE FOUND!!

I got the rebuilt Power module back from the rebuilder and reinstalled it.

It's been a while since i posted on this topic so I will remind those reading that the main problem I have been chasing is that i can't get air out of the AC or the heater ducts-even though the heat/ac vacuum solenoid is working. Today, I found out why.

I installed the newly rebuilt Module but it did not make a difference, even though I could clearly see the arm moving in response to the temperature wheel movement. BUMMER!

I don't know what inspired me to do it, but I took the power module off again and looked inside the hole in the heater plenum with the Power module removed. There I saw a flat piece of what looks like flat rubber insulation (about 7 inches by 5 inches), part of which had come loose from its proper place on  the plenum wall and had placed itself squarely in the way of the air path. I glued it back and tried the system: VOILA. I have air from the AC vents and Heat from the Heater. 

The frustration I have experienced over the last several months has made this triumph all the more exciting. Next up: Aim the headlights.

Follow up: Today I had a conversation with the tech at Classic Auto Air (tampa) that repaired my power module. He told me how to calibrate the Transducer:

Remove power wire that goes from the transducer to the plug (detach at plug, NOT transducer). Start car. Attach vacuum gauge to outlet side of Transducer (the large hose that goes to the power module vacuum chamber), which should be putting out full vacuum in that condition. Note that there's a small screw on the bottom of the transducer which you turn until you just barely see that the vacuum reading on the gauge is just barely starting to drop-then you go back on the screw just a smidge and its done.   

I will be trying it in the next day or so.

The Power Module and the insulation repair DID return proper functionality to the system. Tony; I get hot air from the heat outlets and cool air from the AC outlets. The only thing left to do is to calibrate the Transducer with the Temp wheel, and that's relatively simple. I do agree, it makes the car more enjoyable!

Its funny ya know, how we can spend hours and hours trying to sort something and it turns out the way it has. Ya still feel pretty chuffed.... at least, i know I do.

64 Recirc/Fresh Air Door Actuator replaced; FROM THE INSIDE.

I am happy to report that I have successfully replaced the Fresh Air/Recirc door actuator that is located on the blower box-and have done so without having to remove the blower box. I did it by taking out the glove box and attacking it from the back.  It took several days, LOTS of patience and some band-aids, but it is done. Hi.

Where is the best place to purchase good quality motor mounts/trans mounts for my 1964 SDV? I see that Rock Auto has them for $8 and change, and others for $24 and change. Big difference. Is there a better place to buy them from?
