Hi.
Where is the best place to purchase good quality motor mounts/trans mounts for my 1964 SDV? I see that Rock Auto has them for $8 and change, and others for $24 and change. Big difference. Is there a better place to buy them from?
Thanks
Norm

Don't know why I had not received notice of these responses till today. Thanks Ronnie for the info, and Clovis for your confidence. Jason, I'll take a set of motor mounts from you. The fact that they may be cheaper elsewhere is less important to me than the fact that you as a dedicated and knowledgeable resource for our cars, are supported. To me that's a better "value" than just a cheaper price. I'll send you a direct email and you can quote me price with shipping.
Should be no difference. Should be part # 2238 as part of the catalog # as seen below with the Anchor and Duralast (AutoZone) sourced mounts I have on hand. I probably have 20 sets but the prices out there on some sites have really dropped recently, below what I paid, and will hold on to mine for the long haul. I think I paid about $10 each for mine and had priced to sell at $12.50 each or $25 a set but again if you can get them cheaper that is the way to go.

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…

I found a diagram that illustrates the main factor in determining a spark plug heat range that I was trying to describe to you during the chapter get together.
Here it is:
The main factor is the length of the ceramic insulator from the middle of the spark plug to the tip (where the spark happens)
The insulator…
