I totally I agree with Tone and Jay in the stock wheels. I think they are one of the best designs of all Cadillac years, besides for the 50’s models. The 65 on up models simply aren’t as classy or as nice.

The Kelsey Hayes wires are my favorite though. They look great on our cars and just give them more pizzaz and flare.

One day I’ll a set, everything in baby steps though when it comes to our hobby.

I have a later year wire wheel hubcap on my convertible
I think a 68 Fleetwood
I always liked the look of these wire caps on our year cars
They are a slightly heavier caps than the stock ones
I do still have the original set of caps to alternate with
I do enjoy the sporty look it adds to my convertibles

The endless attention my car gets out on the road is simple an amazing experience
You might be understanding what thats about

Tony, Fleetwood's are so classy, they don't need fancy wheels.

Close but no —Cigar. It’s  Kelsey Haze

A very classy way to go in my own opinion

They will do the wire wheel in stainless for an additional fee

This is about as good as it gets and as expensive it gets in wire wheels for any Year Antique Cadillac

Enjoy

I think the original wire wheels that Cadillac put on there cars in the early years were made by Kelsie Hayes ( not sure of the exact spelling )

63-64 hubcaps are One of the very best stock design hubcaps imaginable ( the Sombreo ) and like to add the design is very very easy to keep clean with a quick wipe down that adds to there pleasure
My Dad use to say if the hubcaps were clean on the car the whole car looks better and clean

While on the subject Lets not forget --the Cadillac 59 hubcap on very many a fine old custom Hot Rod
On many an old lead slede in those years

Enjoy

I know a few here have the spoke wheels, and perhaps some will chime in and post pictures. I am a huge fan of the original hubcaps. Dull and faded with the typical 50 years of road wear, the original hubcaps are not so spectacular, but find a nice set like the one posted below with the reflection from the black inlay and I think they are hard to beat.
But to be frankly honest, for me personally it is an age thing. At age 23, I would have swapped out the original wheels & hubcaps no matter how fantastic they looked, since it was in my mind that I would make any car I owned unique to me. Now at age 53, I appreciate the beauty of the original hubcap. I know you wanted pictures from those with the wire or Sabre wheels, but thought I would chime in nonetheless!

HVAC Vacuum Valve Clip-need the one for the Power Control side

Posted by Norman Silverman on September 17, 2018 at 8:15pm 58 Comments

Hi.

Update:

I removed both 7 nipple vacuum valves and called my buddy who owns a machine shop. Tomorrow we'll re-surface the valve faces and then I'll reinstall them. HOWEVER, the one that comes out easily and comes apart with no rivet is on the Power module side. It installs on one side with a small bolt, and on the other it is held on by a clip, WHICH IS MISSING ON MY CAR. I am going to assume it is the same clip that is used on the Control Module side. Anybody got one? Happy…
