Can someone help me figure where these connections go? I have a 64 60 special if it matters.

See where red and blue and white plug to fuse box on side as seen below. The other two plug into each other. Connectors are pretty easy to ID if you look at the Connector page 12-106 in Shop manual and cross reference on prior pages 12-104 & 12-105 in shop manual. I was unsure of the other 2 loose connectors but took less than 2 minutes turning to the connector page and looking for a yellow and green connector.. then seeing a green with black and pink stripe as the other connector that plugs into it.

I believe the red wire hooks into the fuse block on the side or there may be another red wire plugged in there that has a short lead that this plugs into I believe this feeds your cruise, the single blue with a white tracer plugs into the brake switch , the purple and blue wires are for the neutral safety switch the 2 wire connector with the blue wire with a white tracer is for the back up lights and plugs into the neutral safety switch, the last 2 wire connector I am not sure and would have to look under my dash.

Bad Guage?

Posted by Karl Schwarz on August 26, 2020 at 3:08pm 6 Comments

So I am troubleshooting my fuel gauge issue. I bought a new sender and tested it. It  it goes from 1-ohm (empty) to 35-ohm (full). When I test it (outside the tank), when the float is in the up (full) position it only moves the gauge to about 1/2 full. When at the bottom (empty) position the gauge shows empty. This is the same issue I have when I fill and then use the gas in the tank - the gauge never reads ore than half full. Based on what I've read on this thread it would seem like the…
