Tires

Posted on April 28, 2013 at 3:50pm 6 Comments

As my '64 will be coming home soon from the body shop with her new paint job, I thought that this would be a good time to buy her a new set of tires, as the old ones are 11 years old but in excellent condition,  Our parts suppliers lists Coker, Diamond Back, Lucas, and Universal Vintage tires.  Anyone have a recommendation among the four?  Also, I've looked at my local tire shop, and they carry a P235/75R15 in a 7/8" whitewall that is made by Hanook and are inexpensive.  Is that the correct…

Restoration Batteries

Posted on April 28, 2013 at 3:39pm 0 Comments

I'll need to replace the battery in my '64 Fleetwood 60 Series very soon.  The only supplier that I see in our Parts Suppliers dedicated to batteries is Restoration Battery.  I found the Group 60 battery and it appears to be a good quality product, but rather pricey.  Anyone have any other recommendations?

Dash removal

Posted by Jake Mickley on October 9, 2019 at 12:06am 9 Comments

Hello everyone,

On a 63 CDV, if a guy wanted to remove the entire dash to get all the metal painted, and do some other things behind there, how would he go about doing that?  I checked here and the shop manual, but can't find a complete guide.

As always, and help or direction is appreciated.  Thanks!

Thanks for letting me join the club.  Picked up this ‘64 Coupe Deville a few months ago out of Beverly MA, the car has few stickers on it from various Cadillac clubs, didn’t know if anyone might recognize it from it’s “Glory days.” Everything seems pretty healthy except for the body and some very Mickey Mouse repairs, was wondering if anyone had any leads on…
