Hello, I wish I had found this site sooner. Unfortunately, I am selling my 1963 Fleetwood. I bought the car about ten years ago while I was in college with the intent of restoring it original or maybe making a rat rod. Work, marriage, etc. has made time fly by, and not much has been done, so I feel like I need to sell it so someone can get some good out of it. It was originally a vinyl top car, so the roof is in bad shape, as is the interior.  The engine runs and the transmission seems to shift out right, I am not entirely familiar with how it should shift.  The brakes were working when I bought it, but one of the slave cylinders in the back burst at some point while it was sitting, so no brakes for now.  There is some bad rust in places, and somehow some areas look pretty good.  I am not sure if the car could be restored or if it would even be worth it, but it may have lots of spare parts for someone needing them. It has cruise and ac. Like the title says I am asking $1500 for the car.   I can deliver it if need be within 500 miles of Jackson Mississippi for $1 a mile.  I do have a title for it. If anyone is interested I can send more pictures or answer questions for you.

How many miles on the engine ?

Enjoy

Sorry I forgot to put that.  It says 8872, and I would assume its 108872, but cannot verify that. It was last tagged in 1993.  I also forgot to mention the gas tank was rotted out and removed before I got it, so it has a small jug for a fuel tank.

Posted by Russell L Parr on April 1, 2022 at 9:15pm 6 Comments

I need to replace the bulbs for the speedometer cluster in my instrument panel..

Before I open up the dash, I want to have the necessary bulbs on hand.

Can someone help me determine what bulbs I need, the number of bulbs I need,  and where to purchase them?

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Temperature gauge not working properly

Posted by SK on March 23, 2022 at 2:43pm 2 Comments

The temperature gauge of my 63 Eldorado does not work properly.

It goes slowly all the way up and stays there, while the true temperature is around 155-160 F (water in the radiator and/or the top of the thermostat housing).

Where should I start to solve the problem? The gauge itself, the temperature sensor, or the wiring? Or something else? The sensor is a new (aftermarket part)…
