If you have the kind of rear end movement at the rear of the car that you are looking for a sway bar you have other issues to address with your rear end suspension

There is no rear end sway bar that I know of for our year cars only  the front

you have a rear end ball joint - trailing arm busing —rear springs and shock that could need replacement

The rear end of our cars should have no movement ( sway ) at all when all the rear end parts are  working correctly

The replacement rear end trailing arm bushings available  from all suppliers for our cars are not good and short lived

There are after market arms being made with with bushings that hold up to repair the rear control arms ( your best solution for that problem )

The info about the rear  bushings is on this site

the car tracks nicely down the road i am replacing the bushings and springs  front and back,  just notice some peaple have added a rear sway bar to the back and how it improved corning

any info on  after market trailing arms would be great

Never saw a rear sway bar on any 63 or 64 Cadillac

Finding the info on the guy making the —aftermarket  replacement rear control arms and bushing —for you

I will be posting the info shortly

You want to contact  Dan at dmcnarry@telus.net   who is making custom rear control arms with poly bushing for our year Cadillacs

At the present time the only good solution available for rear control arms that will hold up as they should

The arms have been installed and tested here and do the job intended

You need to address the yoke ball joint above the rear axel to be sure it is in good working order

Those  rear end supports will keep your rear end gear case in the location it was intended to be in relation to the drive shaft during acceleration and deceleration

thank you for the info

Hello I've been restoring a 63 for way to many years. Down to almost done, but have issue with trans linkage, when column in park shift rod 2 inches short. everything original. been trying to find picture of manual rod hooked up from under car to see position of linkage. was wondering if anybody has access for pictures. I wanted to see if my manual linkage is bent  wrong out of the trans if somebody dropped the trans or something. Doesn't make sense why it doesn't work. Thanks for any input…

Torque converter grab when idling in Drive

Posted by Cliff Johnston on June 14, 2021 at 8:47pm 2 Comments

Hi Everyone, been quite a while since i have been on here.

I have had an issue with the idle on my 64 Coupe Deville ever since i have had it.

With the Idle set high enough that it is smooth, but still a nice idle, the RPM seems only slightly too high for the stall of the Torque Converter. And therefore it tends to sit there and grab and lunge a bit. So until now, i have been putting the car in Neutral at the lights to stop this happening.

I've had the car dyno tuned and…
