The 63 coupe doors are suppose to be different from the 63 convert.  Never had any convertible doors to see what the difference was.  can you play detective for us?

Core door is the same for all 1963 and 1964 coupes

Probably most of my 2 door hard top parts car doors have went to convertibles over the years. Of course there is a lot of internal hardware that is different.

Like Jason mentioned, they are same. I have coupe and convertible here in my driveway and checked all the measurements. I assumed they were different too as many GM cars were same only on front and from windshield back, converts were all different.  But the caddy doors are the same. Really glad too!!!

Hello, what color is steering wheel and is it tilting?  I am looking for a black steering wheel for tilting 63 Cad.  Thanks!

is not a tilt wheel and is rose colored.  I need to check other car I just got, 64 convert and see wht the column is in that one.  It is across town so wont be able to get ot it for couple days.

Okay, thanks for following up and I'll wait to hear on the other one.

Lee, are you still in need of wheel?? I can get over to other car this week.

sorry for delay!

Sure Patrick, if you have an uncracked black one for tilting set-up let me know!  Could also use ashtray & lighter for front passenger side, possibly main rear view mirror for windshield, a couple of lighters for back seats...thanks!

Hi Patrick, I need the rectangular fastener with a stud that is used to assemble various grill pieces, I attached an image. Also...on the front door there is one fastener that shows when the door is open. It is the fastener used to hold the door spears on. If you open the door you will see the fastener at the end of the spear on the door. I need two of those and four of the other. Thanks, Steve 306-293-2856

Hi i am interested in dash pad and door panels.  What would you like to have for them and can you send a picture.  I would like dash without any accessory holes in it.

Thanks John badabulldog@comcast.net

will do. give me a couple days. thanks!

Hey Steve, haven't had much chance to work on cars. Are you still in need of these?

Hello I've been restoring a 63 for way to many years. Down to almost done, but have issue with trans linkage, when column in park shift rod 2 inches short. everything original. been trying to find picture of manual rod hooked up from under car to see position of linkage. was wondering if anybody has access for pictures. I wanted to see if my manual linkage is bent  wrong out of the trans if somebody dropped the trans or something. Doesn't make sense why it doesn't work. Thanks for any input…

Torque converter grab when idling in Drive

Posted by Cliff Johnston on June 14, 2021 at 8:47pm 2 Comments

Hi Everyone, been quite a while since i have been on here.

I have had an issue with the idle on my 64 Coupe Deville ever since i have had it.

With the Idle set high enough that it is smooth, but still a nice idle, the RPM seems only slightly too high for the stall of the Torque Converter. And therefore it tends to sit there and grab and lunge a bit. So until now, i have been putting the car in Neutral at the lights to stop this happening.

I've had the car dyno tuned and…

Can you help? Driveshaft Question....

Posted by Chris on May 30, 2021 at 8:55am 1 Comment

Newbie to the group here - we have already found tons of invaluable information on the board, so thanks! We are restoring a 1963 Series 62 Convertible. We are wondering if anyone knows of a source to buy the propellor yoke flange (that bolts to the pinion flange) for the driveshaft? One of our ears partially broke off. Not sure if we can buy just the yoke flange as an aftermarket part, or if it has to be rebuilt by a welder/fab guy? Maybe a salvage yard for a source? Again, any…
