I'm curious what rear ends people have swapped in over the years. Our '63 Fleetwood needs a new rear end and I'm having a real hard time finding a solution. It's a "7" (see photo), which is what it should be. I picked up a "1" but that's completely different, and certainly won't just drop in.
I'm wondering if other vehicles used that "7" rear end. Or if there is something more modern that I could drop in as a replacement. I'd like something that's more easily serviced, so I was thinking a modern solution would be the best.
Not much feed back on this site regarding replacing the entire rear axel on our year cars with something other than a stock replacement
You might want to find a new ham ( the gear enclosure replacement ) with the correct gear ratio for your ride that SB the easiest and least expensive way to get rolling again and solve the problem
