These ads bring me back to my childhood. When visiting my grandparents, I remember looking through their back issues of National Geographic and seeing these fantastic Cadillac ads and then sitting in Granddaddy's 63 Coupe DeVille dreaming of owning something so fine one day. That dream came true when he gave me the car when I was 20 years old. I still get a special feeling every time I drive the car. These are great ads indeed.
Fun looking at the adds from back in the day as they are so different than what would happen today ( social media and TV )
These adds are so very unique as most were in a top shelf magazines then and the appeal was geared for the Lady of the house and an elegance of ownership
Cadillac often did little advertising on any media in many years as it most likely was not needed
Those were great days for America and Cadillac in so very many ways
Daily life was just a better simpler thing ( no plugging in devices —-all day long —for example — LOL !)
Looking at the comments attached to the article someone mentioned this article in Mad magazine from 1961. I had never seen it before but it's funny
