Power Windows and Seats problems, grounding and what the heck does this connect to?

Hi all, first time poster. Great group, tons of info, thanks! 

I have a 64 Deville Convertible 

Sorry I know there's been some previous posts on power seats not working, but I'm not sure what this Blue wire from the seat frame is supposed to ground to, the mounting bracket? pls see pic

Also, under the dash by the fuse box, I'm not sure what these two wires are supposed to connect to. pink one is just by itself, comes from the wire bundle going into the fuse box. The two prong clip has the blue wire cut and spliced into the purple wire, the red wire goes up to the ignition switch.

- Blue wire under seat - ground wire, goes under seat rail to floor bolt
- Connector under dash with blue and purple wire - connects to neutral safety switch that attaches to lower top side of steering column.
- pink wire with connector under dash - this is a split off the ignition circuit to provide 12 volts to accessory... looks like the feed to cruise control, maybe sentinel headlight control. AwY from my pc where I could probably confirm.

Thanks Jason! Made some serious progress. There's power to the seat and windows now, but they are very stubborn and don't want to move, I think next is taking the seat out and cleaning, greasing the rails. Same for the windows. If there's any suggestion on the best approach to clean and regrease these areas please forward it along. Funny thing about the windows, they only work when I press and hold the normal/lock/emergency switch over in the emergency position. Is there anyway to bypass this switch so they only work when the ignition is engaged? Thanks again!

In 1964, the power windows were designed to operate with the ignition on, or in accessory position.  They did not operate with the ignition off or locked. Beginning in 1964, the emergency-normal-lock switch was added, which permitted the driver to lock out all window controls except for the driver's control, and also, using the spring-loaded emergency position, to raise or lower the windows with the ignition off or locked.

If operating the windows while the ignition is on requires engagement of the emergency switch,  either the three-wire connector block at the switch is reversed, or the switch itself is defective.

Thanks Charles, the switch might be going bad as I still need to use the emergency position while the ignition is on. Does anyone know where's a good place to get the wiring pigtails for these switches, or a new switch as well? See new pic uploaded.

George, try switching the three-terminal connector around at the switch. It might be on backwards.  If that doesn't  change the operation, send me an e-mail. I have a replacement switch. faresmcmthelix@msn.com.

Hello I've been restoring a 63 for way to many years. Down to almost done, but have issue with trans linkage, when column in park shift rod 2 inches short. everything original. been trying to find picture of manual rod hooked up from under car to see position of linkage. was wondering if anybody has access for pictures. Torque converter grab when idling in Drive

Hi Everyone, been quite a while since i have been on here.

I have had an issue with the idle on my 64 Coupe Deville ever since i have had it.

With the Idle set high enough that it is smooth, but still a nice idle, the RPM seems only slightly too high for the stall of the Torque Converter. And therefore it tends to sit there and grab and lunge a bit. So until now, i have been putting the car in Neutral at the lights to stop this happening.

Hello!

Newbie to the group here - we have already found tons of invaluable information on the board, so thanks! We are restoring a 1963 Series 62 Convertible. We are wondering if anyone knows of a source to buy the propellor yoke flange (that bolts to the pinion flange) for the driveshaft? One of our ears partially broke off.
