Valve covers back on Dino my 64 Coupe de Ville. Wanted to repaint them but just really needed cleaning. Next up … hard look at the intake and carb.

Intake and Edelbrock 1411 inspected, and cleaned and a couple fresh coats of Bill Hirsch Cadillac Blue paint for the intake ... which means my work on putting the 64 Cadillac back together will wait a couple days while paint cures. Made some good headway today though!

Mark, Not sure if we are talking about the same thing but the short curved heater return pipe to water pump inlet nipple hose is actually pretty decent. Anytime you have a tight turn and an overtightened worm gear clamp (don't we all over tighten those worm gears clamps), you force a bulge (not to mention a deep indention making tower clamps useless if you try to put them on that same hose).  The return pipe to water pump hose was actually one of my better used ones. At the "bulge" the rubber is nice and firm, not soft like a heater hose about to pop. 

With that said, it is a good time to change it out and did just that and added the tower clamps. I have a very long laundry list of things to go through especially when I go through the AC system.
So here is a picture of the new hose installed with tower camps and the hose that came off .. which I think like a woman sometimes you have to touch and squeeze in addition to just looking.
