anyone know of a company that makes the rear glass for our cars? I can’t seem to find any.

There is someone on eBay that sells windshield glass for our year cars

I would contact them for your needs

That would be new manufactured glass

The new glass is slightly thinner they make today

Another option might be very good used glass which may be available possibly right here

All relative to how difficult it may be to get what you need I would think

Enjoy

There is something very special about the LOOK of  our cars when dropped with the Mag wheels

Makes for a very interesting custom Hot Rod look that I am sure is a traffic stopper

Enjoy

It’s getting a lot of work done... the original guys won’t like it but

All vacuum stuff is gone.

Re wired the whole car.

New rubber

Two batteries in the trunk with the tanks and compressors

New window motors

Wow! I love the suicide doors. That is way cool! Just to note, there are some of us that swing both ways... car wise. I've been restoring my 64 CDV to original for 2 decades but love the custom stuff. I appreciate any and all good work. It is my one driver 63/64 and had to decide which direction to take it ... so I decided to take it factory but add options that were available such as power vents, posi rear, tilt column, am/fm, etc. It do have the Pertronix III and Edelbrock 750 cfm on the engine. If and when I get another "driver" 63 or 64, I'm going to definitely do some custom stuff. I would love to have an LS series engine in one of these.. .especially something like the LQ9 in my 2002 Escalade or the L92 in the later Escalades. Be sure to post more pictures as the work progresses.

David, As noted in my email I have about 15 of the 4 Window Sedan (6239, 6339) rear windows and sell for $125 + s/h.  Shipping is not cheap and have provided a total with shipping in the email. For anyone traveling through North Carolina that needs front or rear glass, I have a lot of rear windows and front windshields in VG condition for all body styles except the 75 Series/Limos.

Jason is the man you want to be seeing about your glass if at all possible

The right part in the right condition is a given with this gentleman

Enjoy

I have glass for 100.00 and I'm in Arizona. I do ship anywhere.    email me at  russ85747@hotmail.com

Do show the hinges for the rear door. Often wondered how it would be done.

I couldn’t find a picture of the hinge before it was put in but here is one I found after it was put in. They are 1/2” steel so don’t have to worry about sagging. Also put bear claw latches on both the front and back doors for super easy opening/closing.

First of its kind as far as I can tell. I’ll get more pictures up soon. Have the interrior going in next week hopefully. I like the patina so going to clean it up and cruise it like it is. Maybe paint it in a couple years.

First time I have seen suicide doors on our year cars —a  great look for a custom ride

Do  pls explain how this was done

Enjoy

If Russ is easier to get to than Jason.   ( due to location - LOL ! )    he also is a wonderful person to be doing business with for our car parts

These guys are —-very highly recommended experts on the subject of our cars and will do the right thing for a customer

Gotta love this place if you are the lucky owner of one of our great  Classic Antique Cadillac rides

These cars make you Cooler than you would be otherwise — case closed !!

Enjoy

And Jason really, really, really doesn't mind Russ taking this sale.. these things are a major (insert pleasantries here) to pack.  These 4W sedan rear glasses can just fit in the max size box but you have to pad and secure them very well to make sure they arrive as one piece of glass.  At least the 6W sedan rear glass is a flatter glass..although about the same width and height.

Dash removal

Posted by Jake Mickley on October 9, 2019 at 12:06am 9 Comments

Hello everyone,

On a 63 CDV, if a guy wanted to remove the entire dash to get all the metal painted, and do some other things behind there, how would he go about doing that?  I checked here and the shop manual, but can't find a complete guide.

As always, and help or direction is appreciated.  Thanks!

Introducing myself

Thanks for letting me join the club.  Picked up this ‘64 Coupe Deville a few months ago out of Beverly MA, the car has few stickers on it from various Cadillac clubs, didn’t know if anyone might recognize it from it’s “Glory days.” Everything seems pretty healthy except for the body and some very Mickey Mouse repairs, was wondering if anyone had any leads on…
