Last minute things when i was cleaning up b4 start.

I was puttingvaway a roch rebuild kit and noticed these two gaskets, they are different.  Other kit i had on rebuild, had two that looked like the one on the right.  I set up carb w two that were on right.  Is that correct or is a mixed version of the two correct? I looked at photos in manual, but none indicate the layout or orientation.

Any thought on this for the rochester 4bbl

I don't see a photo but most rebuild kits are configured to cover multiple applications. You almost always end up with parts you don't need.

There is none on the right as one  gasket is over   The other in the photo so pls clarify

The one on the bottom looks like it goes first on top of the intake manifold due to the front cut outs for the manifold heat passages to warm the carb

For reference, this is the one I sell for the Rochester 4GC carb - a Felpro 9770 ... It is the same gasket used below and above the intake manifold to carburetor insulator (I sell the Felpro 60034 for the Carter AFB):

Thanks Jason,

I kinda thought it was the case but wanted to make sure

V.I.N. where?

Posted by Robert Pellow on April 18, 2021 at 1:41pm 6 Comments

Where can I find the V.I.N. on a 63 convertible?  The usual space at the base of the interior windshield on the driver's side has been decimated by weather.

63 Trunk detail

Jason, I liked the detail and information you have provided. I would like to do mine similar to yours. Can you help? Do you have trunk material? OPGI is sending the trunk product for my 63 Fleetwood. But it does cover the entire trunk as yours was done. If you do not have can you give me a reference? Thanks!! Bob

I mentioned during the 63/64 chapter zoom meeting on 3/21 that we had installed a car lift in our garage. Someone asked what kind and I didn't have the info at hand, so here is a link to it and also a link to some tall jack stands we use to add more stability to the car and an additional safety factor. There is something about getting underneath one of these cars that makes me a little nervous! …
