Steering box replacement
Is there anything I should know before I start or do I get straight into it.

Hey Allen just did mine a few weeks back. Well let's say in the process of redoing the whole front end steering and suspension. But it did the steering box first. A couple things I can add from my experience is first of all it is very heavy have a jack stand or something to support it while loosening and reinstalling. If you can break the pitman arm bolt loose with car on the ground so the wheels don't turn while putting pressure on the bolt. Have a bucket ready to catch the fluid when removing the lines. Don't just loosen, take the rag joint bolt all the way out so it slides right off (Again Heavy). Inspect your rag joint as mine had some stress cracks so i replaced it. Good Morning all!
I took the 64 into the shop to have some adjustments completed and in the process decided to have the lower ball joints replaced as was recommended the last time I had it in. I ordered the parts and came into the shop. They quoted me nearly $500 to replace those lower ball joints requiring nearly 4hrs of labor.
