Third brake light -help please.

Did anybody from the club install third brake light in the rear window in his Cadillac? 

I have problem to figure out how to do it. Can I just run wire from break pedal switch and second wire connect to the ground? Im not that good with electrical stuff.I took pictures third brake light that I want in the rear window. They are 2 wires - Red and Black . I don't want to burn anything by connecting incorrectly.

Thats a clean light, where did you get it? 

 Ideally, running the power (red) wire from the brake light switch is the simplest way. Just check to see what side is constant power. The brake light switch feeds the brake light signal to the turn signal switch and it gets messy from there. 

If you connect from the wires in the trunk, you will have the brake light flashing with the turn signal.

The pink & white wire is the source from the fuse box, and white wire is the feed to the turn signal switch so you want to "tap in"  to the white wire at brake switch.

The rear brake light I bought on ebay. It is from 2006 nissan sentra. I chose this one for good high.Most new brake lights are wide and short and LED.

I read about that I will have problem - third brake light will flush when turn signal is on if wires are connected wrongly. I attached pictures with brake light switch from under dash.On the switch are red wire on the left and white wire on the right. My question is - where egzactly I should tap power red wire and black wire from my third brake light so I don't have flashing third barke light when I press the brake pedal?

Red wire on the 3rd brake light goes where jason pointed out. The black wire is a ground and can be put any where there is a good ground to the car. Use an eyelet type connector and screw it to the sheet metal in the trunk or find a bolt you can use.

I tested the light by "tapping on" white brake switch wire and connecting to red brake light wire.And black wire from brake light I connected to car body. It WORKS!!! No aditional blinking during turn signal on or other surprises. I will post pictures after installation.
