what is the vacuum canister for that is behind the drivers front fender?
After removing my fender I see its got a hole in the top but nothing is hooked to it and no line is laying there.
Any help would be great. I finally bought my dream car and starting the process of collecting parts and information.
Power door locks.
where does the hose run from to it? its just the can sitting there.
What that cooler bolted to his fender in this picture.
I have this in a box it was removed from the car. Maybe I should have this hooked up?
Power steering fluid cooler.
You should have the power steering steering cooler hooked up in a our year stock Cadillacs
Always a good idea to be keeping fluids cool to protect our steering system
It gets HOT under that Hood
No idea why someone would remove the cooler and not replace it
Yeah I still have it. Someone cut the lines and just ran the powersteering lines right back to the gear box.
How do I hook it back in? Is there diagram in the service manual on how it should look?
I know the 64 has the steering cooler on AC cars but not sure about a 63
Mines 64 and didn't have A/C.
So if I didn't have ac from the factory I wouldn't of had one of these coolers? It was in a box of parts that cam with the car when I bought it.
Just noticed I have no vacuum cannisters on this car as well. But thats for another discussion. Somebody really went to town under this car.
