I’m looking for the small passenger side C-pillar trim piece (roughly the division between roof and body) for my 63 Sedan de Ville.
This is not the wide molding that extends sideways from the rear window, but a narrow trim piece right below that!

Anyone here?

I believe you have a 63-6339 body style (1963 4 Window Sedan de Ville)

If this is the rear qtr belt or drip molding I would have.

Here is link to rear qtr molding: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.588387922743195&type=3

Here is link to drip molding: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.626886205560033&type=3

If it is another trim  piece I would probably have and either a picture or shop manual name & reference would help. Email me details at jasonedge64@outlook.com

Hi Jason,

I’m looking for a small stainless trim piece, right below the wider molding (see pic).

Looking at your 1963 Shop Manual page 16-76, Item H - Roof Panel Side Rear Molding, That trim goes parallel with the bottom edge of the car body C pillar and extends over the rear section of the door. That rear section of the door is painted at top. Perhaps you are dealing with early production flat trim added to the doors???

I do have plenty of the Roof Panel Side Rearm Molding trim pieces some in very nice condition.

Perhaps you can provide a picture of this trim piece removed from right side, or still attached to left side. Other than that I am completely at a loss.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
